Unpaved Roads<\/b><\/a> is more than just a gravel event. It is a tribute to adventure cycling, an opportunity to immerse oneself in breathtaking scenery and, above all, a moment of connection for a community of enthusiasts who share the same spirit: pedaling without pressure, exploring nature and respecting it. <\/span><\/p>

Being part of the organization of this event is a privilege for me, but also a challenge that I face with enthusiasm with each edition.<\/span><\/p>

From Reconnaissance to Event Day.<\/b><\/h3>

Each edition of <\/span>Unpaved Roads<\/b><\/a> begins months in advance. Field reconnaissance is essential to discover and evaluate every corner of the terrain. Every route is studied down to the smallest detail: climbs, descents, dirt roads and views must guarantee an extraordinary experience. We leave nothing to chance: we want each participant to experience an unforgettable adventure, where the beauty of the landscape and the pleasure of pedaling meet. <\/span><\/p>

Planning is constant work-from logistics management to security to opening registration and organizing services for cyclists. There is a mixture of anxiety and joy in seeing the registrations grow day by day. Behind every name and every confirmation email, there is a unique story and passion. <\/span><\/p>

The most exciting moment comes on the day of the event, when we finally meet the participants in person. It is a magical feeling: shaking hands, seeing smiling faces and sensing the enthusiasm of those who are ready to share the same adventure. One of the moments I always carry in my heart is the speech I give at the beginning of each event. Being in front of hundreds of participants, each with their own story, preparation, and expectations, is an emotion that never ceases to surprise me. My goal is to convey to them not only the confidence they need to tackle the course, but also the energy and enthusiasm that make <\/span>Unpaved Roads<\/b><\/a> a unique experience.<\/span><\/p>

There is something special about seeing the focused, smiling faces of the listeners. You can sense the anticipation, the eagerness to get started, and I feel the responsibility and honor of accompanying them on this adventure. Then when, at the end of the day, someone comes back to me with a hug or a simple “Thank you, that was incredible,” I realize that all the work, sleepless nights, and organizational challenges are worth every second. <\/span><\/p>

With many participants we have now become a family. Each event is a new opportunity to strengthen these bonds and create new ones. It is this connection, this sense of community, that makes gravel more than just a cycling discipline-it is a way of life. <\/span><\/p>

Four Years of Growth and Success<\/span><\/h3>

The year 2025 marks the fourth year of <\/span>Unpaved Roads<\/b>, and looking back, I realize how much we have grown. It seems like just yesterday that we organized the first event at <\/span>Radda in Chianti<\/b>, carefully selecting locations from a list of over fifteen possibilities. <\/span>Each edition taught us something new and pushed us to improve. <\/span><\/p>

Spring on the Tuscan Coast<\/b><\/h5>

The journey begins with the wild Tuscan coast. The <\/span>PuntAla Camp & Resort<\/b> is not just a starting point, but an experience in itself: waking up to the sea breeze and cycling between golden beaches, pine forests and breathtaking views is something unique.<\/span><\/p>

Summer in the Alpine Mountains<\/b><\/h5>

Summer brings us to the Alps, a paradise for lovers of high altitudes. Here, every ride is an exploration among towering peaks, green valleys and crystal clear lakes. It is the perfect place for those seeking challenge and deep connection with nature. <\/span><\/p>

Autumn in the Casentino Forests<\/b><\/h5>

September immerses us in the warm and enveloping colors of the Casentino forests. Pedaling through the centuries-old trees, with the scent of fallen leaves, is an experience that touches the soul. Every bend reveals views that seem to come out of a painting. <\/span><\/p>
